We All Need ENOUGH

The United States has more than enough. We are the richest country in the world. And because we’ve given corporations and the wealthy so many tax cuts recently, the U.S. tax rate is at its lowest rate in 60 years.
Despite the wealth of our nation, 46 million people live in poverty. Meanwhile, Washington seems obsessed with making devastating cuts to our already tattered social safety net. These are programs that are keeping Americans from having even less than the bare minimum, let alone enough.
What do people deserve? A job that pays ENOUGH for them to excel; ENOUGH security to know they can retire in dignity; ENOUGH health care to keep their families from sickness. We all need enough.

Politicians must fight for everyone to have enough, not just the richest few. I know what ENOUGH means to me, and I know what it means to the people I love.

I pledge to unite with others fighting to make sure that everyone in this country has enough. Because when each person has enough to survive, our country, as a whole, thrives.
